
Fairmont DECA district winners compete at state level in Columbus.
Over spring break Fairmont DECA students traveled to Columbus to compete at the state competition. This year’s competition was a success for the students. All students competed against fifty or more other high school students. Eleven students placed in the top ten and received an award. Four of these students placed in the top 3 and will continue to the national conference. This year’s national conference is being held in Anaheim, California. Business academy senior Andrea Avacedo was also recognized as one of the Ohio DECA top 10 scholarship finalists. Congratulations to all students and good luck as they continue to California.
