Fairmont actors present ‘Romeo and Juliet’ this week

The Winter Play, William Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet, will be presented at the Fairmont High School auditorium this week. Fairmont theater students have put their own spin on the most famous love story in the world by staying true to the words of the Bard while modernizing the setting and adding a few surprises of their own.

A special student performance is offered at 4 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 28, for a reduced ticket price of $3. Tickets for the student show will be sold at lunch or can be bought online at www.ketteringmusic.org or by calling the Music Office at (937) 499-2647.

Regular evening performances will begin Thursday, Jan. 29, and run through Saturday, Jan. 31. There also will be a Sunday matinee on Sunday, Feb. 1, at 2 p.m. Tickets to these performances are $8 for adults and $5 for students and senior citizens and can be purchased online or through the Music Office.

Seating will be limited at all performances.
