Winners of the National Writing Month contest announced


During the entire month of November, thousands of people participate in National Writing Month, and this year the Creative Writing Club decided to join in the challenge of writing an entire novel in one month. This year’s participants were sophomores Jessica Carey and Emily Hazlip, juniors Veronica Denker, Sparrow Elizabeth, Alexandria Hetzler, Sophie Lockhart and Amanda McCollum, seniors Alyssa Evans, Brandon Lively, Indigo MonBeck and Creative Writing Club advisor Juliet MonBeck.  The winners of the contest were Hetzler who titled her novel Debt.Revenge.Redemption and wrote a total of 25,014 words, Hazlip who wrote a novel entitled Battle Call with 29,875 words, and Denker who wrote a novel called Barely There with 30,002 words.
