Wright State University President to visit Fairmont

Wright State University’s President David Hopkins is scheduled to visit Fairmont High School Tuesday, Nov. 20, 2012. Current juniors and seniors who have applied or plan to apply to WSU for admission for the 2013 or 2014 school year are invited to attend. The presentation will be held in the Recital Hall, and 50 students from each unit will be permitted to attend. There will be sign up sheets in each unit’s guidance office. Students are advised that they can not miss tests or other important class work to attend the presentation.

Fairmont has been told that Hopkins is a dynamic speaker and will address the need for higher education in a competitive, global economy. President Hopkin’s address was made possible through Audwin Jones in the WSU Office of Admissions. Fairmont High School’s Career Tech Counselor David Elliot encourages faculty members who attended WSU to wear the university’s colors the day of the presentation.
