Eleventh Hour’s Sam Bodary explains how to beat-box
Fairmont senior Sam Bodary, a member of the acclaimed a cappella group Eleventh Hour, does the beat-boxing for the group. For those unfamiliar with the term, beat-boxing simply means that Bodary provides the percussion sounds (the beat) for the Fairmont group. Because a cappella means “without instrumental accompaniment,” the group relies on the sounds that Bodary can create with his mouth. The Flyer asked Bodary about his musical accomplishments and goals, and Bodary attempts to teach the reporter how to beat-box.
