Students ‘L.E.A.P.’ into A.C.T./S.A.T. practice

Students 'L.E.A.P.' into A.C.T./S.A.T. practice

Fairmont High School is offering a new tutoring program to students who are looking for help with the A.C.T. and S.A.T. tests. The Learning Enrichment and Assesment Program (L.E.A.P.) is a prep course that has been around for 13 years and is now offered in Fairmont classrooms.

The cost for the course is $175, plus an additional $20 for The Real A.C.T. Prep Guide. If a student is looking to take the S.A.T. as well, they will need to purchase The Official S.A.T. Study Guide for $22.

Students who attend sessions can see a 2 to 6 point raise on their A.C.T. score and an 80-100 point raise on their S.A.T. score, according to L.E.A.P.

Sessions start April 24, 2012, and run every Tuesday until May 22, 2012. Each session will last from 3:15 p.m. to 5:15 p.m. There will be an additional full-length, timed practice test on May 15, 2012, from 3:15 to 6:15 p.m.

Space is limited to 15 students per session, and to register, students must go to www.LEAProgram.com/registration.
