FHS comes up smelling good in KPD drug-dog search

Fairmont High School administrators were pleased to learn that no drugs or alcohol were discovered during a Kettering Police Department sweep of the building and parking lot on Wednesday, April 4, 2012.

The search, which involved officers and drug-sniffing dogs, took place during second period.

“This is a pretty amazing accomplishment,” said FHS Principal Dan Von Handorf. “It speaks volumes about our hard work here.”

Although dogs hit on one car, the police searched it and found nothing. Dogs also hit on one locker, but a search found only an inhaler that had been prescribed by the student’s doctor.
