Girls’ Varsity Basketball team returns to regional semifinals

The Girls’ Varsity Basketball team is headed to the regional semifinals for the fourth year in a row after defeating Colerain at Harrison High School on Saturday, March 4, 2012, with a score of 66-49. Junior Chelsea Welch registered a team high of 19 points and 6 assists, helping her earn her 1,000th point. Junior Alona Skipper sunk 5 three-point shots. Sophomore Makayla Waterman added 13 points and 6 rebounds while sophomore Kathryn Westbeld had 8 points and 12 rebounds.
The team will play Princeton on Thursday, March 8, 2012, at Wright State’s Nutter Center at 8 p.m. Tickets are currently on sale in the Athletic Office for $6 and will be $8 at the door.
