Senior-packed Varsity Field Hockey team finishes 9-8

The Varsity Field Hockey team ended their season with a 9-8 record. The team was beat in tournament in the second round of play. The Field Hockey team is a part of the Southwest Ohio Field Hockey League and stood in fourth place out of eight teams.

Senior Captain Annie VonderBrink feels this was one of the team’s better seasons. “We got along on and off the field. This was my favorite season out of all four years, and I will miss playing with everyone – especially the seniors because we’ve gotten so close over the years,” said VonderBrink.

SWOFHL awards were given to the following: 1st Team: Annie VonderBrink and senior Allie White; 2nd Team: seniors Becca Barnett and Sarah Miller; Honorable Mention: seniors Alyson Miller and Monica Wagner.

The team awards announced the banquet were: MVP: Allie White; Most Improved: Sarah Miller; Coaches Award: Annie VonderBrink; Sportsmanship: senior Nicole Manzo.

The captains of the varsity team were Annie VonderBrink, Allie White, and Becca Barnett.
