Eight students honored in MLK contest

Eight Fairmont High School students captured awards in the 2011 Kettering-Oakwood “Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.” contest.
In the category of Written Expression, the first-place winner was senior Madeline Lehrner. Second-place awards went to freshman Sophie Lockhart and senior Benjamin Matheson, and third-place awards went to freshman Jenna Beavon and senior Michael Minoughan.
In the Visual Arts category, the winners were: junior Taylor Feeney, first; sophomore Sarah Leden, second; and junior Cassandra Costello, third.
