Students, staff donate more than 160 pints of blood

On Friday, Oct. 29, Fairmont students and staff united to donate more than 160 pints of blood for in a fall blood drive. The Blood Center’s goal was to have 180 registrations, and Fairmont students and provided 188.

Roger Bauser, assistant student activities coordinator, thanked the staff for coping with the disruptions associated with such an undertaking. “Long-term success is only possible because you are willing to give up some teaching time and because you realize that this kind of community service outreach is another important element in our students’ total education,” said Bauser.
