November Athlete of the Month: Trey Baker
Congratulations to freshman, Trey Baker,on being the athlete of November! Baker has the privilege of being a part of Fairmont varsity football. “My proudest moment was making varsity football as a freshman, also not just varsity but starting,” Baker said.
Being a part of a team has changed his life. “It taught me how to be competitive, taught me mental toughness, and taught me to never give up in anything I do.” Practice has played a critical role in his athletic career. Without the help of all of the coaches, he doesn’t think he would be where he is today. With being a student athlete, Baker thinks that athletes should “Take on school work like it’s a sport. Act like your teacher is your opponent. You want to beat them.”
