This week is Spirit Week for Fairmont. Students and teachers are encouraged to participate in each day’s theme, and some may even be featured in the Firebird yearbook or in The Flyer’s gallery. The days are the following:

Monday: “Pajama Day”

Tuesday: “Tourist Day”

Wednesday: “Minion Day”

Thursday: “Character Day”

Friday: “Spirit Day!”

On Wednesday, the Spirit Carnival will begin at 6 p.m. on the north side of the Trent Arena by the Firebird baseball field. Powderpuff kick-off is at 7 p.m. The well-known car bash will be back this year and baked goods for sale will be provided. Interactive Media is DJ’ing before the game. The Flyer will have a promotional booth set up as well.

Friday, the pep rally will start during 7th period at 2:30pm at the Trent. The following night, before the football game begins, the Spirit Chain totals will be announced at Centerville High School. Kick-off between the Birds and Elks is set for 7 p.m.

Pull out your clothing for the corresponding days and be ready to show some Firebird pride!
