Nearly 100 Fairmont students participated in the National Latin Exam in March, and several received recognition for their scores in April.
Latin teacher David Vesely is very proud of his Latin students and said he recognizes all of their hard work. “We spend all year working on this exam. It’s a part of the curriculum,” he said.
Vesely said he doesn’t want students to be pressured to take this exam.
“It’s not required, but it is highly recommended. It is good practice,” he said. “The test is basically an hour where you have 40 minutes to answer 40 questions.”
