Congratulations to Chief Screen Printing for being The Flyer’s local gem of the month. Chief Screen Printing was created on Jan. 2, 2017 by two friends, Anthony Tomlinson and James Webster, who both dreamed of owning their own business.

Chief Screen Printing offers custom designed and printed garments for events such as 5Ks, family reunions, spirit wear and many more event types. They also have a retail store offering many local items for purchase. Besides screen printing, they also specialize in promotional products and embroidery.

As for the business itself, the name of Chief Screen Printing, was a way to honor Webster’s late father, Chief  Master Sergeant Roy M. Webster.  Although Webster’s father was the main inspiration behind the name, the two also believed it would serve as a way to commemorate Wright Patterson Air Force Base, which is located just 13 miles away.

Tomlinson believes that something that sets them apart from competitors in the area is offering both screen printing services as well as a retail storefront.

“Most Screen Printing companies offer either retail storefront or custom screen printing services,” Tomlinson said. “We offer both, giving our customers the option to purchase items they need the same day for a game or event or items they need for an event coming up such as a family reunion or 5K or special game.”

Another feature Tomlinson believes gives his business a competitive edge is its hours.

“We also have hours beyond 5 p.m. standard, along with Saturday hours. We feel this accommodates our customers better for shopping or picking up an order,” he said.

Chief Screen Printing is also a quality lead business as their motto is “Quality is our first Priority”. They believe that quality is the best way to achieve build a great business.

“We may not be the cheapest, but we make sure you are completely satisfied with your product,” Tomlinson said.

Both Tomlinson and Webster are extremely charismatic about their work and business. They want future customers to know that they can make their printing dreams come true.

“If you have an idea for a shirt, we can help. It’s what we do. We bring your idea to life! I have a Degree in Graphic Design, so we handle all artwork in house,” Tomlinson said.

Tomlinson along with Webster have plenty of knowledge as well as hands on experience to help customers with all of their needs in this field.

“We have over 8 years experience in screen printing along with a friendly staff ready to answer any question you may have. We’ll do our very best to make sure you are completely satisfied with your purchase,” Tomlinson said.

Chief Screen Printing is a big part of the Kettering community. They help in designing and printing shirts for different clubs, sports, and events at Fairmont High School as well as across the community.

“We love the Kettering Community. We both live in Kettering, our families & friends live in the community as well. We do our best to shop, eat and enjoy our time within the Kettering area. We believe strongly in supporting locally and keeping money within the area,” Tomlinson said.
