More than 500 pieces of art are methodically placed in Fairmont’s Gallery as part of the annual N2 ART Select Exhibit. The event kicks off with a reception from 6 to 8 p.m. on Feb. 11.

The annual N2 ART Select Exhibit returns to Fairmont High School from Feb. 11 through March 3, 2014. The event kicks off with an Artists’ Reception from 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 11. Both the reception and the exhibit are free and open to the public.

The Fairmont Gallery, which is located in Fairmont’s main entrance, will contain a variety of art created by Kettering City Schools students from 1st through 12th grade. More than 500 pieces of art will be featured in the gallery, which will be open to the public during school hours.

The reception on Feb. 11 will include video art created by Fairmont’s Interactive Media Program and Van Buren Middle School’s Art Club. Live performance art will take place in the Recital Hall, including a performance by “Max Out” FHS, Dance!

Fairmont Art teacher Susan Bennett worked to help put the art gallery together. She believes the reception will be a very festive occasion that everyone can enjoy. “We encourage everybody to come to the opening,” Bennett said.
