On Saturday, Sept. 15, 2012, the Fairmont Cross Country team’s top seven runners ran seasonal bests. Senior Ben Gilbert topped highest at 33rd place, with six other top runners following behind shortly. Sophomore Harrison Webb rounded out the top seven with his first varsity-level finish. Freshman Rachel Sleppy finished 22nd in the girl’s race as the fourth fastest freshman. Junior Rylee Smith also ran a strong race by cutting two minutes from her previous meet. The cross country team competes again Saturday, Sept. 22, 2012 in the Centerville Stampede.
