Allied Health and Biotech students advance in Ohio HOSA

Recently, Allied Health and Biotechnology students made the second round of the Ohio Health Occupations Students of America (HOSA) competition.  Juniors Adan Salguero and Brannon McCarthy from Biotechnology and Samantha Schoenung from Sports Medicine will be competing at the state level Thursday, March 22, 2012.  Teams include juniors Alex Adams, Emma Decker and Krista Koch in Medical Reading, seniors Allison Biza, Kayla Small and Kasey Smith in the HOSA Bowl. Three separate teams will compete in Forensic Medicine: one with juniors Priyanka Singh and Tristan Smith, another with juniors McKenna Fisher and Katherine Teleha, and a third team of seniors Alex Meyer and Bianca Riviello.

 Juniors Josh Miller and Emily Danner will be competing individually in the Researched Persuasive Speaking competition.  Juniors Samantha Dunham and Kaylee Reynolds will be competing individually in the Medical Math competition.  A team of juniors Leila Cochran and Kirsten Kester, and seniors Erin Berger and Livana El-Kassis will form a team for the Health Education competition.
