The Kettering Fairmont Indoor Percussion Ensemble took first place at the WGI Dayton Regionals at Trent Arena on March 3, 2012. The ensemble competed in the Scholastic Open class, the intermediate level of competition available to high school groups such as Fairmont.

The ensemble took first place with a score of 82.250, exactly 0.4 points above their second-place competetors, New Philadelphia High Scool.
