Fairmont students and staff donated nearly 180 pints of blood during the annual Blood Drive at Trent Arena on Oct. 21, 2011.

Roger Bauser, assistant student activities coordinator, said the donations came from 197 donors, and he called the drive “a huge success.”

“All of the Blood Center workers were extremely complimentary of our students and their efforts and cooperation,” Bauser said.

Diane Patterson’s Allied Health Tech Prep seniors assisted with the refreshment canteen, and  Vicki Bruggeman’s Consumer and Family Science students baked the cookies that were provided to donors.
