The Sept. 30 football game between Fairmont and Centerville will be more than just the climax of Spirit Chain this year. Channel 7 will feature the game as “Goodwill Stores Drive to Victory Game of the Week.” Students at both schools will be collecting clothes, household items, computers and even vehicles to be donated to Goodwill. Students who wish to donate items can do so starting Monday Sept. 26 outside of Trent Arena, where a truck will be collecting clothes and household items. That Friday, the donations will be weighed, and the school that has collected the most items will be announced as the winner at the Fairmont-Centerville Goodwill competition. Any students who wish to donate an automobile towards the competition may call 228-AUTO and inform the operator that they wish to donate a vehicle towards Fairmont’s totals. Automobiles that are donated will count for an extra 1000 pounds towards the competition.
