The Fairmont Boys’ Junior Varsity Bowling squad has won the GWOC JV Championship the past three years, and on Feb. 11, 2012, they’ll go into Beaver Vu Bowl to try to make it a four-peat.

The Firebirds have made their domination known throughout the conference and the state with two Firebirds achieving All-Tournament Team distinctions. Junior Matt Schenkel fired a three-game 618 series, and freshman Trevor Luthman shot a 637 series.

Members of the Firebird JV Bowling team are freshmen Matt Back, Alex Holdeman, John Hull and Trevor Luthman, and juniors Matt Schenkel and Tyler Smith.

Just a quick note to let you know the JV Boys’ GWOC Tournament was held Saturday, Feb. 4, at BeaverVu and they won, becoming GWOC Champs 4 years in a row. The Varsity Girl Bowlers will compete for the GWOC Championship Saturday, Feb. 11, at Poelking South, and the Varsity Boy Bowlers will compete on Sunday, Feb. 12, also at Poelking South.
