On Jan. 5, Fairmont’s wrestling team beat Beavercreek, the No. 2 team in GWOC, 45-23. With the win, the Firebirds reclaim the Battle for County Line trophy. Winning for Fairmont were sophomores Colin DelValle, Josh Parrett, Brandon Boykin, Cody Ball, juniors Matt Denlinger and Jeff Harowski and seniors Justin Kihn, Ryan Huffman and Tommy Kimbrell.

The JV team also defeated Beavercreek, 43-21. Winning for Fairmont were freshmen Tyler Hardy,  Brad Carroll and Shane Chatterton, sophomores Clay Dorman, Zach Meaden and Patrick Winans, juniors Scott Hartmann and Robert Nsenga and senior Jordan Schlemmer.
