The Firebird Boys’ Cross Country team finished 8th out of 17 teams in the Firebird Invitational on Oct. 1. Senior Jake Gentile finished 2nd overall in a race featuring 152 runners. Other top finishers were seniors Jeff Bruns and Alex Durham, junior Ben Gilbert and freshman Matt Kitze. The Girls’ Cross Country team finished 12th overall, with sophomore Nicole Olgiate in the lead.
